Leipzig

Nicknamed as the “Boomtown of Eastern Germany” or “Hypezig”, Leipzig is an important business and transport centre in eastern Germany. Leipzig has a prominent opera house and one of the most modern zoos in Europe and also become an economic center in Germany. The historic downtown area of Leipzig features a renaissance style ensemble of buildings from the 16th century, including the old city hall in the market place.
