Kuching is the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia. The name is derive from the Malay word ‘kucing’, means cat. But it more likely comes from the Chinese word for port (“cochin”). Kuching also known for its longan fruit, or ‘mata kucing’. It is a popular trade item in this city. The locals often refer to Kuching as the “Cat City”.
