Kuching is the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia. The name is derive from the Malay word ‘kucing’, means cat. But it more likely comes from the Chinese word for port (“cochin”). Kuching also known for its longan fruit, or ‘mata kucing’. It is a popular trade item in this city. The locals often refer to Kuching as the “Cat City”. The city has many historical sites and museum, one of the most visited museums is Kuching Cat Museum.
Bintulu is located in Sarawak, in East Malaysia. It is the fourth largest town in Sarawak, after Kuching city, Miri city, and Sibu town. This city is geographically situated half way between Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. It is also known as the home to one of Malaysia’s public universities; the Universiti Putra Malaysia. Bintulu is a central gateway to tourist spots like Bakun Resort, Niah Caves, Mulu National Park, Rejang Pelagus, and Lambir National Park.
