Kota Bharu, or Kota Baharu, is the state capital and royal seat of Kelantan. It was established by Sultan Muhammad II of Kelantan in 1844. Located in Malaysia, Kota Bharu is formerly known as Kuala Kelantan. This city is home to many mosques, various museums, and many unique architecture of the old royal palaces.
