Christchurch, a city in the South Island, New Zealand. The city was named by the Canterbury Association in 27 March 1848. Bordered by hills and the Pacific Ocean, the city is the country’s third-most populous urban area. On September 2010, the city was hit by an earthquake. It caused widespread damage to the city and minor injuries. However, the city is also famous for its beautiful gardens and parks. So that the city often referred as “the Garden City”.
