Beirut is the capital and largest city of Lebanon. The first mention of this metropolis is found in the ancient Egyptian Tell el Amarna letters, dating from the 15th century BC. The city has been inhabited continuously since then. Named Beroth, the city of wells, by the Phoenicians. It is one of the oldest settlements of man as evidenced by relics from the prehistoric communities. The city still has many touristic attractions to offer.
Situated in northwestern Turkey within the Marmara Region, strategically located along the historic Silk Road. One of the interesting fact of Istanbul is the historic center, partially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its Byzantine and Ottoman architecture are the other famous part of Istanbul. There’s also beautiful palaces and imperial mosques in Istanbul’s hills as a reflections of the city’s previous central role.
