Located close to the mouth of the river, once an important centre for processing and canning fish. There is a Naval Club which is owned and run by the Boca do Rio Resort. It offers a unique opportunity for one to enjoy hours of fun on the historic river Arade. The exclusive catamaran 'water taxi' is moored here, to take guests to Portimao and the local beaches. In addition, there are canoes and kayaks yachts and motor cruisers for hire. The adjoining Health Club boasts a heated indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna and steam room. If you like water you will love the Naval Club! Recommended. Good value for money.
Exterior: Very beautiful looking complex, spacious, surrounded by plants and palm trees.
Lobby: Lobby is large and warmly decorated, with plenty of seating areas. The elegant water fountain in the centre of the room is relaxing and welcoming.
