The welcoming hotel is a traditional Victorian building from the 19th century with a stunning façade. The newly refurbished hotel presents the guests with modern convenience and comfort whilst still retaining a warm feel, timeless style and a multitude of original period features. With 33 guest rooms, the hotel also features a 24-hour reception desk and meeting facilities. Those arriving by car may make use of the rear hotel car park for free and there is also a lively bar and a restaurant. This hotel is a strictly non-smoking establishment.

Rooms vary in size from medium to large, as this is an extremely old building, but it retains a wonderful warm and relaxed atmosphere. All rooms are in good condition and are furnished with traditional fittings. Tea and coffee is provided in all rooms. 10 extra rooms can be found in the Lodge - 2 buildings down from the Murrayfield Hotel and with a superior standard of room.

The hotel offers bed and breakfast. Guests are also able dine from the set menu at lunch or in the evenings. In addition, the restaurant caters for special dietary requirements.

Small meetings and events can be accommodated in the 1st floor meeting room and hotel bar areas. The hotel does not have a lift, therefore it is not suitable for elderly guests or those with disabilities. Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is before 11 am.
