Naha is a city situated in Okinawa, Japan. The city was officially founded on 1921. The name of Naha comes from its original name, Naba, which was the name of a large, mushroom-shaped stone in the city. The city is the political, economic, and education center of Okinawa Prefecture. Naha is a modern yet historical city. After the battle of Okinawa in World War II, the entire city had to be rebuilt. Shuri Castle is one of the most important historical sites in Naha.
