Waingapu is the capital city of East Sumba regency. It was called “Matawai Amahu Pada Njara Hamu”. Kalala Beach, Menggudu Island, Kanabu Wai Waterfall, Kaliuda Village are some of nature tourism spots that can be visited here. In Kaliuda Village, you can find the traditional ikat fabric made by the people. There’s also Rindi Wai Lake, a lake situated in east side of the city. This lake is surrounded by mountain and forest.
