The city of Manado is located on the north eastern tip of Sulawesi and is the capital city to the province of North Sulawesi. Internationally renowned for its close proximity to the small coral island of Bunaken, which is now a national marine park. Here you can enjoy the natural underwater beauties of the islands. The city of Manado itself doesn\'t have much to offer tourists, but the culinary adventurous should prepare their taste buds for some of the most spicy food this side of Asia. The provincial capital of West Sulawesi, Mamuju is a coastal town with a beach line stretching for over 400 kilometers. Here you will find many beaches, many of which have rarely been visited. Two of the most popular seaside destinations in Mamuju are Lombang-Lombang beach and Manakarra beach. Manokarra beach offers beautiful panoramic views, popular with snap happy photographers while Lombang-Lombang\'s black sand beach is great to get in some snorkeling or to just splash around on the beach. A strong Melayu culture is kept alive by locals, and many ancient traditional buildings can be found just outside of the city.
