Central Java is a province with 3.25 million hectares, divided in 29 Regencies and 6 Cities, with tropical climate and average temperature around 21-32°C. The capital of Central Java is Semarang.

With more than 40% of its land used for paddy fields and plantation, Central Java is rich with natural wonders, such as Mount Merapi, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, and Dieng Plateau with its one-of-a-kind geographical setting and view. Its north coast has a rather calm wave, while the south coast is known for sloping hills that stretches with the beach.

Central Java which formerly the central civilization of Buddhist, Hindu, and Islamic monarchs, are also rich with historical and religious sites, such as Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Tempel, which was erected since the ninth century. Both sites were named as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Central Java also has a rich cultural heritage with its batik center in Pekalongan and Solo, numerous modern and traditional festivals which has been done for years, and various local culinary dishes such as gudeg, nasi liwet, lumpia semarang, and solo meatballs.
