The park occupies 14,650 km2 of unspoilt African bush and is managed by a national parks service whose rangers are some of the best in the field. They know the park, its flora and fauna and its inhabitants intimately. The hotel, a favourite with visitors from all over the world, is on the border of the park in its own extensive grounds, effectively part of the park and only an hour's drive from the Victoria Falls.

This lodge is an oasis of luxury in the heart of the African savannah. Surrounded by untouched wilderness, guests have access to all the modern amenities required to make their stay truly comfortable. The hotel has two restaurants, one of which is located outside with views of the watering hole. The bar is the ideal place to wind down after a day long safari. The lodge also provides conferencing and banqueting facilities, a curio shop, safari guides, laundry service, room service and open secure parking. There are a total of 100 guest rooms on offer.

Rooms
The rooms are decorated in deep natural blues and browns with richly coloured carpeting. Each room has an en suite bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. All rooms have individually regulated air conditioning, an overhead fan and heating to ensure that guests can create the ideal atmosphere in their rooms. All rooms have wide windows that look out onto views of either the pool area and watering hole or the natural savannah bush where the occasional bull elephant can be seen lingering in the shade of the trees. Only selected rooms have televisions, in response to the express need of guests for a peaceful environment in which to get in touch with nature. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities also feature in the rooms as standard.

Restaurant & Food
This hotel is serviced by two restaurants and two bars, although bars may not be open during the low season. Whether sitting down for a sunrise breakfast in the main dining room or a barbecue buffet at the poolside, guests will always be treated to excellent hospitality. The famous bush dinner is also served for groups of 10 or more. The Dingani Restaurant offers an à la carte menu and has a maximum seating capacity of 150 people. A bush dinner (by request) offers a fully comprehensive buffet spread and bar service set up, catering for every taste and need. An all day snack and light meal menu is also served by the poolside. The pool area has a maximum seating capacity of 200 persons.

Activities & Sport
This lodge is all about wildlife, so game drives with expert guides are the order of the day at the lodge. These can be enjoyed at night or in daytime but always in the care of expert guides. While guests enjoy a long, cold sundowner, they watch the trek to the watering hole by a rare mix of game from the impish impala to the majestic elephant for their end of the day drink. The outdoor swimming pool is a popular oasis for cooling down each day. Refreshments are served at the poolside snack bar. Tennis and table tennis are further leisure options.
