Protea Hotel Aishi Machame is situated at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, a few kilometres from the Machame Gate and 3 degrees south of the equator. Machame village lies up against the southern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, in northern Tanzania. The area is a mosaic of beautiful valleys, deep gorges, rivers, waterfalls, farms and is home to the Chagga people. 12 kms to city centre 30 kms to the nearest airport (kilimanjaro)

Situated at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, Aishi is located a few kilometres from the Machame Gate where climbers commence their ascent of this most majestic mountain by way of the picturesque Machame Trail. Just 3 degrees south of the equator, the two world famous peaks of Kibo (5895m) and Mawanzi (5194m) are permanently snow-capped. Specialising in organised climbs, Protea Hotels Aishi provides all necessary tenting and equipment, as well as the most experienced guides and porters to make this unique experience a holiday always to remember.
