This is a first-class hotel, with a very pleasant open plan
entrance, which houses the reception desk, car hire and concierge
desk, modern welcoming bar and a choice of two restaurants. The
whole area is fitted with dark wood panelling, comfortable modern
chairs and sofas and lots of black & [meaning unclear];
white framed pictures of South Africa on the walls, giving it a
stylish contemporary feel. The outdoor swimming pool has loungers
for guests, and food and drink can be ordered here.
Exterior: An attractive, purpose-built building painted white.
Lobby: The hotel has a large lobby with marble flooring and a high
ceiling with retro lights hanging down. The reception is slick
looking with a huge fish tank to its right and the hotel bar is at
the back of the lobby, overlooking the hotel swimming pool.
Rooms
Each room comes with an en suite bathroom and hairdryer as well as
centrally regulated air conditioning. Further fittings provided as
standard include a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a
radio, an Internet connection, tea and coffee making facilities,
ironing equipment, a hire safe, and a double or king-size bed.
Restaurant & Food
There is no better location for lunch, dinner or a drink than
Tobago's Restaurant, Bar and Terrace. The food is wonderful, tryly
Cape Town experience. The cocktails are pure temptation and the
wine list offers a superb collection of specially chosen South
African wines.
