The hotel comprises 60 en suite rooms, all with balconies with views of the hills, plains and river surrounding the lodge. Thirty cottages forming a buffalo horn pattern converge at the public facilities area, leaving room to roam among the wildlife and access to the waterhole. The architecture blends in with the area, to maintain style of housing of the local Samburu people. Local materials have been used in the construction, furnishings and interior decoration. High ceilings and a lot of space ensure that the rooms are airy and comfortable. Two rooms next to the reception and public areas are designed for those with limited mobility. A babysitting service is also available. The air-conditioned establishment features a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom, a games room, a TV lounge and kids' club. Guests may dine in the restaurant and sip their favourite drink in the bar. Business guests are sure to appreciate the conference facilities. Each cottage has two tastefully appointed bedrooms, each with two queen-size beds, an en suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, and a private veranda with a view of the plains. The rooms have high ceilings to keep them airy and comfortable, and the décor is distinctly Samburu-inspired, with natural materials offset with bold and bright colours. The rooms have individually regulated air conditioning.

The hotel has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with children's swimming area. Refreshments are served at the poolside snack bar and massages are available. Guests can enjoy guided nature walks, bird watching and game drives in the surrounding area.

Check-in time at the hotel is 11 am and check-out time is at 10 am. Late arrivals should contact the hotel in advance to avoid automatic cancellation of the reservation.

The hotel is a 45-minute flight from Nairobi, 325 km or a 5-hour drive on the Isiolo-Moyale road from Ngare Mara/Archer's Post junctions.
