Rooms
This resort features 470 Deluxe rooms, suites and villas. They have
just completed the first phase of its guest room refurbishment
which is part of an extensive year-long S$15.26 million upgrading
programme. The key features of the newly redesigned guest room are
a brand new built-in refreshment unit, a flat screen television and
a range of modern Indonesia designer teak furniture. The bathrooms
are in light marbled tones, showcasing Bravat designer bathtubs and
sanitary ware and an impressive full-length floor-to-ceiling
mirror. Each room features air-conditioning, cable television
multilingual channels, IDD phone, In-room personal safe, in-room
fridge, high speed internet access, hair-dryer and coffee & tea
making facilities.
Restaurant & Food
The hotel offers casual dining as well as sumptuous buffets at its
11 restaurants, bars and cafes, with a choice of casual al fresco
dining, buffets, cocktails by the pool, the "Surf and Turf"' beach
BBQ, Mediterranean cuisine or authentic Japanese food. Dining
options include "Kopi-O" which serves international and Indonesian
cuisine, the "Orzo" restaurant featuring Mediterranean and Italian
cuisine, "Miyako" Japanese restaurant, "Ripples By The Pool"
serving refreshments and snacks, "Warung Kue" offering cakes and
pastries and "Nelayan Grill" specialising in grilled seafood and
steaks. "Horizons" lobby lounge serves gourmet coffee and teas,
cocktails and snacks, and offers nightly entertainment. At the
leisure centre, the "Verandah" offers refreshments and snacks while
"Haskell's" at the golf clubhouse serves quick meals and
snacks.
Activities & Sport
The resort has a leisure centre featuring a freeform swimming pool
with slides, a children' pool, sun loungers and parasols, a fully
equipped gym, an amusement arcade, board games, laser quest, table
tennis, snooker etc. A Jacuzzi is also available. Bike tours can be
be arranged. The resort has a 2nd larger swimming pool in the main
wing, as well as the "Nutty Bunch Club" for kids and the Spa-Taman
Sari Royal Heritage Spa (subject to fees). Steam baths, massage
treatments and a solarium are also on offer there. Water sports
available for a fee include banana boat rides, canoeing, scuba
diving etc. The resort also features two 18-hole championship
courses, designed by golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Ian
Baker-Finch. Golf lessons for both adults and children can also be
arranged for a fee. In addition, basketball, volleyball and beach
volleyball facilities are offered. Minigolf and an entertainment
programme for both children and adults are provided (subject to
fees). The resort provides live evening entertainment as well as
karaoke bars and relaxing cocktail lounges.
Comments
Free Wi-FIi in hotel lobby premises is available. The hotel
provides direct ferry service from Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry
Terminal to its doorstep (with additional charge) for hotel guests
only. The route will be serviced by two high-speed 266-passenger
ferries, will take approximately 70 minutes, and will land at the
Bintan Lagoon Terminal, a private, state-of-the-art immigration and
ferry terminal located directly on the resort's beachfront.
Directions, How to get
there
Guests need to take a high-speed catamaran from Singapore's Tanah
Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT). The journey to Bintan Island is about
55 minutes. A two-way transfer between the ferry terminal and the
resort will be provided by the resort. Ferry times need to be
advised in advance of arrival onto Bintan Island. Please note there
are no buses or taxis on the island. Bintan is 1 hour behind
Singapore.
