Waka di Ume is a resort that is nestled amongst the rice paddies of Ubud, and designed to be an Oasis of calm and serenity in Bali's cultural and artistic heart. To enhance the peaceful atmosphere, guests will not find a radio or TV in the resort, but the calmfull serenity of nature. Everywhere you look around Waka di Ume, you are surrounded by the textures and colors of nature and the green of the surrounding rice fields. This small and intimate accommodation only features sixteen dwelling consisting of eleven lanais (bungalows), two villas and three suites. Other facilities found on the property include a 24-hour reception desk with hotel safe, currency exchange desk, a bar and restaurant, laundry/dry cleaning services (charges apply), internet access (subject to fees), room service, bike rentals and a 24-hour on-call doctor service plus a wedding chapel for small services.

All rooms combine traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern style and comfort. By using materials such as local stones, folk-woven fabrics, cane bamboo and weathered wood, creates an ambiance that is one with nature. Accommodations are spacious, cool and inviting. The standard facilities found in each lanai or villa include a private terrace or balcony looking out onto the rice fields, a comfortable double bed with mosquito nets, individually adjustable air conditioning and a ceiling fan, a personal minibar, IDD telephone, slippers and bathrobes, a hairdryer and an en suite bathroom with a sunken bath and hot and cold running water shower.

The resorts main restaurant is located in the main building at the entrance of the resort. With a seating capacity of up to 40, the restaurant offers views of the surrounding countryside, making it an unequaled vantage point to watch the brilliant colors of the setting sun. The menu offers guests a fusion of wonderful Balinese specialties with more familiar western dishes and is open from 7am - 11pm. Guests who prefer to enjoy meals in the comfort of their rooms can order room service which is available daily from 7am-11pm.

The hotels main swimming pool is adjacent to the panoramic rice terraces, and guests can take the opportunity to feel the cool breeze while relaxing on a sun lounger under the palm trees. A massage service offering various health treatments are also offered to guests at the in-house spa. Sport enthusiasts may enjoy a bike ride or go for a walk around the village and rice field. Guests can take some traditional Balinese cooking classes which include early morning trips to the market.
