Villa Avalon is a glorious garden estate barely 60 metres from Kayu Putih beach in Batubelig just north of Seminyak on Bali’s south-western coast.

Designed by internationally famed architect Popo Danes and served by a staff of ten, the 1/2-acre estate comprises the iconic four-bedroom Villa Avalon, the two-bedroom Avalon 2, and the one-bedroom Avalon 3 – each with their own pool and private garden. Book just one villa or all three; the flexibility of bedroom configurations gives you the choice of anything from one to seven bedrooms.

Villa Avalon’s lovely chef takes great pride in whipping up a menu of Indonesian and international dishes using the freshest ingredients sourced from upmarket delis and local markets alike. The chef will happily coordinate the purchase of all provisions on request, including wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks. The best way to organize this is to provide the chef with a cash ‘float’ on arrival. Receipts will be kept and referenced at the end of your stay, and a 20% service charge will be applied to cover admin and transport.

Villa Avalon is a wonderful choice for families. Children love the 15m pool, and can run around happily and independently in the beautiful gardens, while parents relax on sun-loungers or in the poolside joglo. The beach – a three-minute walk away – is beautiful for sand-play and letting off steam (though do note that swimming is dangerous as the sea can be rough and currents strong). The butlers are on hand to help entertain children, and full-time babysitters can be arranged for those who’d like to explore kid-free beyond the villa grounds.
