The hotel is named after and designed by Michael Gravel, one of
America's top architects. The hotel is one of the six hotels in
Resort World Sentosa that sits on 121 acre of land. Resort World
Sentosa feature six hotels, Universal Studios theme, the world's
largest Marine Life Park (still in construction) and more than 60
dining outlets and a casino. The maple wood furnishing and the
muted colors scheme create a warm and homely feel. All room comes
with a King size bed or 2 double beds, pull-out writing desk and a
hidden vanity mirror. Room amenities include Simmons "Cool Max"
bed, duck down duvet, duck feather pillows, large LCD TV and
coffee/tea making facility. The bathroom comes with circular shower
stall, flower motif mosaic wall and black and white marble
flooring. Modern building in khaki colour with olive green ribbed
roof.
Rooms
The main concept of the rooms is the unique lifestyle featuring
signature artworks and interior design by Michael Graves, for
instance, the circular shower, hand drawn murals by the designer
and stunning mosaic-tile wall. Wireless Internet connection is
available in the rooms with a fee. All rooms are en suite and
equipped with a hairdryer, double bed, direct dial telephone,
satellite/cable TV and radio. Furthermore, a safe, minibar, tea and
coffee making facilities and individually regulated air
conditioning feature as standard.
Restaurant & Food
Palio features an open-kitchen concept offering authentic Tuscan
cuisine with a variety of traditional Italian recipes. Light snacks
and drinks are available at Michael's Lounge and Sky Bar. The hotel
features a restaurant. A buffet breakfast is served from 7 am to
10:30 am. A la carte lunch and dinner are served from 11:30 am to
2:30 pm and 6 pm to 10:30 pm, respectively.
Activities & Sport
Being a part of the Integrated Resort, there are 3 main
attractions: Universal Studios Singapore, which offers more rides
and attractions than Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal
Studios Japan; FestiveWalk, a world-class entertainment boulevard;
and Marine Life Park, which showcases the wonders of the sea, and a
casino. Guests may enjoy use of the outdoor swimming pool,
children's swimming area, poolside snack bar, sun loungers and gym.
For a fee guests are pampered with massage and spa treatments.
Sentosa Golf Club is roughly 10 minutes away via public
transport.
Comments
There are about 3,500 car parks in the East and West zones which
are chargeable. Hotel guests may request complimentary parking
vouchers at the hotel front desk.
