Renovated in 2008, this popular and lively family-friendly hotel
comprises a total of 258 rooms, all less than 100 m from the beach,
as well as a garden and a terrace. It offers guests a desirable
range of facilities as well as excellent cuisine and entertainment,
all delivered with true Gambian hospitality. Facilities on offer to
guests at this establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour
reception and check-out service, a currency exchange facility, a
newspaper stand, a hairdressing salon and a TV lounge. The younger
guests can let off steam in the children's playground and the kids'
club and there is a bar and a restaurant. Business travellers will
appreciate the conference facilities and WLAN Internet access
(charges apply) and guests can also take advantage of the room and
laundry services (both for an additional fee). There is parking
available for those arriving by car and visitors will also find a
bicycle hire station on the premises (charges apply).
Rooms
All rooms come with a private bathroom with a shower/bathtub and a
hairdryer and offer a double bed. They are equipped with
satellite/cable TV, a safe (charge may apply) and a mini fridge and
individually regulated air conditioning is provided as standard.
All rooms also feature either a balcony or a terrace.
Restaurant & Food
A full breakfast buffet is served in the Kudula, with its ocean
view terrace. For lunch, guests may choose from 2 different
restaurants, while for dinner there are 3 different restaurants
available with a choice of buffet, snack, international cuisine and
stylish dining.
Activities & Sport
This hotel features an outdoor swimming pool with a separate
children's swimming area, a poolside snack bar and a sun terrace
with sun loungers and parasols. Guests can take part in an aqua fit
session or work out in the gym before relaxing with a massage
(charges apply). For an additional fee, it is also possible to try
windsurfing, canoeing, tennis, horse riding or cycling and they can
also play a game of badminton, table tennis, darts or beach
volleyball. Moreover, the hotel puts on separate entertainment
programmes for adults and for children, while golf enthusiasts will
find the famous 18-hole Fajara Golf Course within walking distance
(750 m). There are sun loungers and parasols available for guests'
use on the sandy beach.
Directions, How to get
there
Guests arriving from the airport should take a left towards
Brikama. At the first junction, turn right and follow this road
till the roundabout. Go straight on, and continue on the Bertil
Harding Highway reaching a junction with an 'Elton' petrol station
(not the Elton petrol station which comes very shortly after the
roundabout). At this junction, turn left under the arch and the
hotel is situated at the end of the road. Taxis are available at
the airport and the drivers all know the hotel.
